| Virus & Spam Protection - is critical for effective use of email.
Simplicato Mail Authenticity System (TM)) (MAS) has multiple levels of
testing for each incoming mail from the get go of the first sender SMTP
connection to the final mail delivery. Over 90% of mail is identified as
not authentic and are identified as a virus or a spam. These messages
are either being rejected or marked as Spam by our servers. Our set of
MX Servers are mostly busy to reject over 100 million messages a day.
As always, not one solution fits all. Simplicato has multiple levels of
protection classes from basic to very aggressive that can be set per
domain and user. The basic test provides a very good protection but yet
can let some of the Spam go through to prevent false positive. Yet, the
customer can fine-tune the threshold of how Spam is being marked. The
most aggressive test apply all test conditions. Virus scanning is done
automatically for every message and messages that contains viruses are
eliminated without customer control or knowledge. Archive customers are
recommended to use the more aggressive testing to minimize the amount of
messages that will be flagged as Spam in the archive.
