Simplicato's Anti-Spam Solution utilizes several lines of defense:

First Line of Defense — Real-Time Black Lists (RBL)

By using only reputable Real-Time Black Lists such as Spamhaus, Simplicato is able to block large amounts of Spam while having very few legitimate emails rejected.

Note: Simplicato automatically rejects Messages that are blocked by Real-Time Black Lists; the sender is notified if that happens.

Generally speaking, 99.99% of the time Real-Time Black Lists are very accurate; however, it is still theoretically possible that occasionally a few legitimate emails might be blocked. If you require assurance that all emails get to you, Real-Time Black List Blocking can be turned off for your domain.

Connection Checks are the third line of defense. Spammers usually don't configure their servers properly and can be detected by looking at several connection parameters on the Mail Server.
 

In addition, Simplicato recognizes that different companies have varied needs and we have different options that a domain can be set, such as not using Greylisting, but keeping the use of Real-Time Black Lists.

All email tagged by SpamAssassin as Spam can have one of three options:

• Mark message as SPAM in the Subject. Perfect for POP3 Users.
• Move message in to the Spam Folder. Ideal for IMAP or WebMail Users.
• Move message to a General SPAM Mailbox. Best when there is a dedicated person to check all Spam Messages.
